Regarding the "I am EyeOpener" plagiarism issue

I am EyeOpener is a up master that I have been following for a long time. Most of his early videos have the taste of marketing accounts, and most of the videos are less than five minutes long. It wasn't until the second half of last year that he started making longer videos.

The majority of the long videos are Network Mirage, which is when I started paying attention to the up master.

A typical episode of Network Mirage:

!!!
Network Mirage is about finding detailed addresses (flights) through a picture online. In this type of video, the up master usually uses various resource libraries and search engines, showcasing their powerful resource integration and logical thinking abilities. However, in reality, some parts are glossed over, using surface-level "logic" to cover up the underlying inconsistencies, and even some "seeking the cause from the result" or "seeking the result from the cause" meanings.

Until he released the video "Finding ChingLingFoo," which made it to the second place on the Bilibili hot list, I watched it on the TV end and couldn't see the barrage comments, so I didn't give it a like, comment, or share.

To be honest, I was really moved. I deeply felt grateful to this excellent up master for bringing to light an outstanding Chinese figure from a century ago.

Quoting Hesenberg's comment:

"The quality of this video is rarely seen in recent years. The entire film is well-researched, step by step, with logical deductions like a small boat sailing through a deep valley. In the sad and quiet atmosphere, the author connects the grievances and struggles on the magic stage a hundred years ago with the fate of the country and the nation. The small reflects the large, encompassing both the grand and the minute. I even feel a little guilty for watching such content without spending any money."

However, all of this praise was achieved through deep plagiarism!

The original manuscript of "Finding ChingLingFoo" is as follows:

!!!

!!! (Note: To avoid changing the source, it has been backed up to private cloud storage)

It's an excellent video, and its excellence lies in being able to make people spend a full half hour to calm down and understand an event from a century ago.

It wasn't until I clicked on EyeOpener's homepage again and saw his explanation that I realized that some people believe he plagiarized and washed his drafts.

Following the related comments, I saw a detailed comparison of the plagiarism and washing of drafts on Zhihu.

Returning to the original video, there were already comments in the barrage and comment section saying "deep plagiarism," "refund," "plagiarism is shameful," and the like, but they were few and far between. Some were even reported, deleted, or banned.

Most new viewers will not understand the truth of the matter after watching it because the comments are sorted by popularity, and the top comments are all praises from thousands of people.

If you click "sort by time," you will find a series of comments criticizing the up master for infringement and plagiarism, as well as some voices of rebuttal. This matter has been known by a large number of people only since yesterday, even though it has been exposed for more than half a week.

EyeOpener then posted a dynamic in response to this matter. Although the title contains the word "apology," the entire article lists things unrelated to plagiarism, aiming to deceive the public with his efforts and even turning his mistakes into "flaws."

I also posted several comments accusing the plagiarist, most of which were deleted.

Yesterday evening, Zhihu's @Shen Shen posted a video titled "Blatant Plagiarism!" which was later posted on Bilibili with the title "Contemporary Cheng Liansu? The Creation of a Viral Video is Actually Like This."
!!!

!!! (To avoid deletion, it has been backed up)

The video was reported and deleted, and it still has a prominent warning:
[tip type="warning"]
This video contains controversial content. Please be cautious to avoid being misled.
[/tip]
Ironically, this warning is on a video that is cracking down on plagiarism, while the views and followers of the plagiarist are still rapidly increasing.

Fortunately, after most netizens learned the truth, they were able to support the original author, who is also preparing to sue.

This matter is about to come to an end in the near future, and I hope it will be handled reasonably rather than disappearing due to losing popularity.

It is not uncommon for popular bloggers to be exposed for plagiarism, which shows the cruel reality of society's weak awareness of copyright, the extremely low cost and astonishing benefits of various online celebrities making mistakes, and the high tolerance of the public for their mistakes.
